A warm welcome from Finance For Entrepreneurs and Finance For Female Entrepreneurs to our newly-joined affiliate organisations
We are thrilled to announce our alliance with The Genesis Initiative; a business lobbying organisation that Finance for Entrepreneurs and Finance for Female Entrepreneurs are fully supportive of and have been proactively engaged with, since its formation.
Established in 1999, The Genesis Initiative was formed to improve the quality of the debate on SMEs and create economic reform, driven by SMEs and supported by Parliamentarians. Since its formation, it has worked as an umbrella organisation harnessing the collective strengths of the trade associations, institutions and other representative groups of the small business sectors.
Its board of directors and Senate include senior industry figures, entrepreneurs, SME academia and influential politicians of all political parties, working with both Government and opposition parties to encourage the adoption of policies allowing the SME sector to flourish, to the benefit of the UK economy. The collective knowledge, experience and effort contribute to the continued growth of the SME sector and ultimately to the benefit of the UK economy.
Commenting on this momentous collaboration, Genesis Initiative Chairman, John May, said, “We are delighted to be forming an alliance with Finance for Entrepreneurs and Finance for Female Entrepreneurs, whose founders are longstanding and respected members of The Genesis Initiative and are highly regarded in the MSME business community.
Raising finance has always been challenging for small businesses, and it’s even more difficult in the current Covid-19 environment. Access to finance, is also identified in the Government commissioned Alison Rose Report on Female Entrepreneurship 2019, as one of the key barriers hindering the formation and growth of women-owned businesses in the UK.
It follows that business finance is a significant issue for The Genesis Initiative and we are confident that our alliance with Finance for Entrepreneurs and Finance for Female Entrepreneurs will help us meet our Manifesto and strategic objectives. Importantly, we also share a common purpose; to serve the interests of small businesses by drawing on our collective expertise to address a pressing issue facing this sector, which we should not forget, makes up over 98% of the UK economy.
We look forward to working with our new trusted allies.”
